Champagne
The perfect location for a celebration, the Champagne wine region has over 30,000 hectares of vineyards, stretched over rolling hillsides and valleys, only interrupted by pretty little villages dotted around. Sightseeing centres around Reims and its Notre-Dame Cathedral, the heart of France’s royal history where twenty-five kings were crowned.
Château Les Crayères
Les Crayères is a handsome château set within 17 acres of impeccable grounds on the outskirts of Reims. Originally built for the Pommery family in the early 1900s, it is located next door to the Pommery Champagne House.
The château has 20 classically French, sumptuous rooms to enjoy a night away and explore the famous wine region. Along with the numerous champagne houses for tours and tastings, the city of Reims is also worth exploring. The famous gothic cathedral has seen the crowning of 25 Kings of France, and there are four UNESCO World Heritage sites.
The sophisticated ‘Le Parc’ restaurant has 2 Michelin stars and a reputation for style and elegance. Head Chef Philippe Mille MOF (Best Craftsman of France) serves seasonal cuisine accompanied by a wine list featuring more than 600 champagne labels. The stunning terrace is the perfect place for sampling a glass before lunch or dinner, looking out over the immaculate gardens.
