Il Convento del Viandante del Cielo – A Skywalker Retreat and Winery
Il Convento is the perfect venue for a large family or group who enjoy seclusion and privacy. Perched on a hill in Umbria, commanding magnificent views of Lake Trasimeno, this former Capuchin convent has been carefully and skilfully restored by the filmmaker George Lucas, to keep the historical feel of the building, whilst offering luxury furnishings and amenities.
In the vast, immaculate gardens, there is a huge outdoor pool, a croquet lawn, tennis court and numerous opportunities for outdoor dining. Inside, there is individually controlled heating and air conditioning in the bedrooms, a games room, a state-of-the-art intimate 16-seat cinema and a galleried multi-lingual library. For wine lovers there is a secret wine cellar and tasting room with Italian and Californian bins. The convento also has its own spa, hammam and gym. The beautiful Chapel on site provides a place for quiet contemplation, or for a special ceremony.
Staff: Villa Management Couple who live on the estate, Head Chef, Sous Chef, kitchen staff and a sommelier. The housekeeping team provide a maid and laundry service twice daily. Garden staff and Spa Therapist (a la carte).

Activities: There are so many options that can be organised: Private winery visits, truffle hunting (in season), hot air ballooning, croquet on the lawns, tennis, basketball hoop, shoe-golf, Bocce court, guided tours of local towns, boat trips on the lake, personal shopping in Florence, as much or as little as you would like to do!

- Suites: Set over 3 floors there are 10 large bedrooms each featuring unique amenities and décor. Some have balconies, others have private terraces.
- Dining: Meals are served throughout the grounds from lake-view terraces, tables set up in the gardens, patios or cozy living areas. There is also a large, formal dining hall or the intimate chefs table in the kitchen. Food and beverages are not included in the cost. There is a daily per person supplement
